What an incredibly busy year 2025 has been. It's only when I look back that I realise how much HawkAye has actually accomplished in 2025.
Before we get into it, I just want to say thank you to everyone who has helped HawkAye in 2025. I have worked with amazing clients, brands and creators and without them this wouldn't have been possible, so thank you!
Sharing Glasgow with the World by Drone

This year was another exciting year of proejcts that put Glasgow on the global stage. One of the most impactful was the work we did for Invest Glasgow at the UKREiiF conference. We produced a number of videos that promoted Glasgow as a place to work, live and invest in.
A cool part of this project was that a version of one of the videos was used at the Shanghai International Tech Fair to promote Glasgow.
Another highlight with Invest Glasgow was the opportunity to create an advert for Glasgow that was shared on the Piccadilly advertising board in London. I created the 10 minute video that showcased some of the best drone content of Glasgow. This was an unbelivedbale expereince and I'm thankful for the opportunity. I vlogged the whole experience which you can view here.
It's always a pleasure to work with the team at Invest Glasgow to share content that promotes our city.

Iconic Events
I've been lucky enough to capture some iconic events over the past couple of years, from the opening of the Govan Partick bridge to the Premier Sports Cup final.
This year was no different and the two events that stick out are the regeneration work that's been carried out at the North Rotunda as well as the opening of the Renfrew Bridge.

It was an honour to work with Drone Scotland on the day the new Renfrew Bridge was opened, again capturing a historic moment for the Glasgow City Region.

Our partnership with Radisson RED Glasgow continued in 2025 and part of our role was to tell the story of the redevelopment of the North Rotunda. We captured this iconic monent when the hand crafted cupola was placed on the roof. We can't wait to see how this develops in 2026.
Community

A big part of 2025 has been about community. From attending the Scottish Creative Network to building the Creator Grid. HawkAye started the Creator Grid as a place for Creators to come together, learn and network. This year we ran 3 events and are hoping to make it a more regular occurance in 2026.
I also want to say thank you to Greig and Ross at the Scottish Creative Network. They have the built a fantastic community of creatives from across Glasgow and it was a pleasure to share my story at one of the events in April.

Marvel Magic in Scotland: Glasgow Chosen as Spider-Man Backdrop
What a surreal experience it was watching the latest Spiderman film being shot in Glasgow. We managed to capture the set before filming started and it made the BBC news. Every day there were epic videos being posted online of the different scenes being shot in the city. We created and shared a number of videos that had nearly 2 million views and were shared thousand of times. We can't wait to see Glasgow on the big screen in 2026.
Live Events from a different perspective
This year we continued our partnership with Premier Sports and managed to cover 5 events over the course of the year. We did have more planned but unfortunately the weather got the better of us.
We also covered Itison Glasgow for the 6th year as they joined in with the Glasgow 850 celebrations.
Brand Partnerships

In 2025, HawkAye used strategic brand partnerships to authentically showcase products we genuinely use and trust. By integrating them into real-world projects and content, we expanded our reach, shared value with our audience, and introduced HawkAye to new communities and markets.
A stand out collaboration has been that with Gomatic. We created an ad for Gomatic earlier on in the year and it's cool seeing that appear in friends feeds on soical media. Gomatic were also kind enough to gift their Method luggage for my trip down to London to see my content on the Picadilly lights.
We have continued to work with Rayban Meta and look forward to all the new updates that are happening next year.
New kit for new opportunities
In 2025, we made a significant investment in upgrading our kit to continually raise the standard of our work. A major addition to our aerial setup was the DJI Mavic 4 Pro, giving us enhanced image quality, improved low-light performance and greater flexibility for high-end commercial projects. Alongside this, the DJI Mini 5 Pro has become an essential tool—allowing us to capture agile, high-quality footage in more locations while remaining lightweight and versatile.

On the ground, we introduced the Sony A7 IV to our workflow, dramatically improving our photography and video content with sharper detail, better dynamic range and more cinematic results. This upgrade has strengthened our ability to tell complete stories, seamlessly combining ground-based visuals with our signature drone perspective.
This year, we’ve also started creating more content around the technology we use, sharing honest insights, real-world tests and behind-the-scenes use cases. By doing so, we aim to help other creators make informed decisions on what kit is right for them, based on practical experience rather than hype.

Finally
As we close out the HawkAye 2025 Year in Review, one thing remains constant: the privilege of capturing Glasgow from a different perspective and sharing it with the world. Every flight, frame and story continues to be rooted in a deep love for this city—its people, its architecture and its ever-changing light. Seeing familiar landmarks through the lens of a drone never gets old, especially when that content resonates far beyond the city limits.
One of the standout moments of the year was the opportunity to see HawkAye drone footage showcased on the iconic Piccadilly Lights. Having Glasgow displayed on one of the world’s most recognisable advertising screens was a proud milestone and a reminder of how far this journey has come.
Community has played a huge role in our growth this year. From collaborators and clients to fellow creators and supporters, those real connections have helped shape HawkAye into more than just a content brand. They’ve opened doors, sparked ideas and reinforced the importance of creating work that genuinely adds value.
As we look ahead to 2026, the focus remains on pushing creative boundaries, deepening partnerships and continuing to elevate the quality of our work.
As the eyes on the world will once again be on Glasgow, we can't wait to play our part in sharing our city with the world!
The journey is far from over—and we can’t wait to see where the next year takes us.
